Free Genealogy Biography of David Brockey,
Pennsylvania Volunteer of the Civil War
David Crawford Brockey David Crawford Brockey (born June 15, 1836 - died Sept. 21, 1864) was in business in South Carolina at the outbreak of the Civil War, but came North immediately after the attack on Fort Sumter and enlisted in the 9th Regiment, NYSM.
He was promoted to be second lieutenant of Company A, 46th Regiment, PV Sept 27, 1861, and first lieutenant Nov 1, 1862. He served on the staff of Gen. Joseph S. Knipe, in Sherman's March to the Sea, and was wounded at Peach Tree Creek, Ga, July 20, 1864. He died of his wound.
