FLORIAN MILZ DIES


Florian Milz of 22 Metcalf street died at 3 o'clock yesterday morning of a complication of diseases. Deceased was born in Germany seventy-two years ago and came to this country in 1843. He was soldier of the Civil War* and a member of the St. Nicholas Society. His wife and three daughters survive-Mrs. Barbara Gartner, Mrs. P. Baumann and Elizabeth at home. Bernard Milz of East End is a brother of the deceased.

The funeral will take place at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning with a requiem mass at St. Nicholas church and internment in darling Street German Catholic Cemetery.


Enlisted as a Private on 23 April 1861. Enlisted in Company G, 8th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 23 Apr 1861. Mustered Out Company G, 8th Infantry Regiment Pennsylvania on 29 Jul 1861 at Harrisburg, PA.
