Adams Sentinel - June 12, 1864



KILLED IN BATTLE

Colonel G. H. Covode, 4th Pennsylvania cavalry, was killed in Sheridan's fight on the 24th ult. He was a son of Hon. John Covode, the second son who has been killed within six weeks. His brother Jacob was killed with Grant, in one of the battles after crossing the Rapidan.
